I would like to think that I have always had a different outlook on the world around me. I first began expressing this view through photography at the age of 16 with a regular Fujifilm point and shoot camera. Back then my mom was my biggest fan and encouraged my new found interest in taking photos. At the age of 18 I bought my very first SLR camera and since then I have constantly strived to grow in my ability to effectively capture the beauty of this life. At the age of 18 I photographed my very first wedding and fell in love with the excitement and challenges wedding photography entails. Being invited to capture a couple’s unique expression of love on such an important day is something I consider an honour.
At the end of the day, photography is about so much more then taking “pretty pictures.” Photography is about teaching people to see the world instead of merely looking at it. Thus, my goal with every photo I take is to preserve a moment that may have otherwise been lost without recognition.
